#12. what I like about Japan; food

f:id:happyhappy365days:20180916173307j:plain

I've lived in 7 countries in my life, and I've been in Japan for the past 17 years.

What I enjoy the most would be the food.

Not just typical traditional Japanese food, WASHOKU,

but I do love the food-culture in Japan.

I mean there're all kinds of food from all over the world.

You'll be surprised how variety it is, especially in mid-Tokyo where I live;

American, British, French, Italian, Spanish, Turkish, Persian, Iranian,

Romania, Russian, Hong Kong, South/North India, Viet Nam, Thai,

Nepal and etc.

And you'll see the world's best pizza-making winner, or aeropress coffee

world champion and so on.

At work, I go out for lunch with my co-workers every weekday,

and it's so hard to choose which one to go as we have too many places

to choose from, you know what I mean?

At supermarkets, you can find a lot of spices and ingredients from the world.

I used to live in India when I was young with my family.

So I'm picky with spices for curry.

In Tokyo, we have Indian Town and you can buy all kinds of spices.

You can even buy ghee which you'd never find here.

As you know, Japanese eat all kinds of fish.

You'll see them at any supermarkets in a fresh condition.

What you don't find here is Turkey, Lamb, T-born and what else?

To be honest, I don't miss anything.

My fave store here is KALDI.

I can buy seasoning for Tacos, tortillas, fresh mozellera cheese,

American-Italian tomato sauce in jar and reasonable wines.

 今日は英語が長すぎちゃったので日本語は省略しちゃいますね!
